April Fool's Day

I should be out at The Cedars taking pictures of the concrete guys building forms for the concrete and the water line guys putting in the water line but I am not.  I don't want to do anything.  My world has been violated and I am mad about it.  Last night, someone broke the window in my car and ran off with my purse.  I was upset about the checkbook and the credit cards and the phone.

I am annoyed that the bank asked for ID when I tried to cash a check and get some lunch money.

The Driver's License bureau has a two mile long list of options for proving your identity when you need to replace a lost or stolen DL.  I do not know where my birth certificate is and I do not have any of the other various and sundry means of identification. My passport is not enough...they want more.  How is it that millions of people are here illegally and are driving all over the place with nary a care in the world? I digress.

The guy at the body shop says that my purse is probably down in a ditch somewhere within a two block radius of my house.   I would go look for it, but I don't want the neighbors to see me melt down and have a screaming fit in public, should I find it. Or not find it.

The straw that broke the camel's back however, was when , upon finishing my lunch with a dear friend from out of town, (why today of all days?)  I realized that in the almost empty emergency purse I was carrying, there WAS NO LIPSTICK!!!!!!!  What else can go wrong today you ask??

The night is still young and I have to go teach Puggles what they should be thankful for.  I just hope and pray that they are all feeling cheerful and obedient because I could snap at any moment.

I thought about ending the day with a little cigar, when I remembered that I don't have any cigars.  I would probably get carded at the store and I would have no way of proving that I am indeed old enough to smoke .  My DL being missing and all...

anyway, I'm changing my name to Fran.  I'm making a clean start.  Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to be a new person.  Who knows what adventures lie ahead!  Stay tuned. Love, Fran.

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." Ralph Waldo Emerson
