Ahhhhh....the Ozarks!

There is something magical about the sights and smells of a warm autumn day.

I'm not planning anything soon, but doesn't this look like a beautiful place to be laid to rest?

I knew when I started snapping these pictures that my camera would fail to capture the glory I was seeing...but I had to keep trying.

We had such a dry, I mean desperately dry summer, that I had given up hope for a colorful fall.
  Boy was I wrong!

Isn't this lane inviting you to come for a walk?

What a great gift to see these lovely sights as we drove home from a long weekend retreat!

The beauty all around us was breathtaking! It was hard to leave the hills and head back home. We did notice that our trees have not begun to turn yet...hoping they won't be long!

Hope you're enjoying a bit of this beauty in your neck of the woods...

It will be gone quick as a wink!

Words fail me.

The beauty of God's creation does that to me!

Happy Autumn day friends!

  2. How nice of you to share your beautiful vistas! It's so wonderful to see that gorgeous color. It's what I miss now, living for the first time ever away from the changing seasons. Yes, I'm reveling in the sun and warmth, but the views of palm trees never change. They're certainly beautiful too, but not like the colors of the Midwest. As it's apparent you are doing, continue to enjoy and appreciate what God has created for you to see.

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." Ralph Waldo Emerson

About Me

My Photo
I'm a wife of 38 years, mom of 4,and nana of 4. What started out as a house building journal has morphed into a fun way for me to share things with my kids who are scattered to the four winds. For two years I have written about the trials of two ordinary people building their dream house. It is always fun to look back and remember how it all came about. Now, I am ready to move out in lots of other directions...I love crafting, junking, reading and decorating. I am always on the lookout for projects that I can tackle to make my home pretty without breaking the bank. Now that we are settled in our new home, I think I would like to share some of those with you too.Welcome to all of you who happen to drop by..I would love to hear your comments and look forward to visiting your blog too! I pretty much get all of my good ideas from all of you! Thank you for visiting...make yourself at Home!
