Last week while the ground was still really covered up with snow,
and the temps were below zero for several days....
I noticed a little scuffle going on
out on the deck.
Two little birds were fighting over a sprig of fake berries
from this arrangement right outside the back door.
They had already stripped the cedar branches pretty clean,
and were still looking for something to eat.
Apparently they were scoping things out
for future housekeeping!
Those are just the cutest little birds ever! Your photos of them are wonderful. Hopefully they'll pop back for another visit soon. I've noticed we're getting a few little birds around here as well.....hopefully that's a sign that spring is not too terribly far away!
ReplyDeleteEastern Bluebirds! We rarely get those in town. What a blessing.
ReplyDeletethey are so sweet! I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit today, now what will you do with the springs? I was thinking they would make a cool rusty garland all hooked together, hmmmmmm. The old photo is my mom's family, she is the baby on the right and that is how I remember all of them that I was able to know, always laughing and goofing around! Happy WW! Theresa xoxo
ReplyDeleteHey Marybeth, Well how are you enjoying your new home these day? Your pictures of the birds are so cute Eastern bluebirds already? Everything around these parts are still in hibernation.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week kiddo!

You got some darling shots of those beautiful little birds! We get just a bit of snow a couple of times a year. Usually not very deep, and it all melts the next day! What a year, huh? Stay cozy!
ReplyDeleteAaww. How sweet. I hope you put something out there for them that they can eat for real next time!
